The Tax Agent Certification course is nationally recognised as the FNSSS00005 Commercial Law for Tax Agents Skill Set and FNSSS00008 Tax Law for Tax Agents Skill Set (Tax documentation). The 5 course units, together with appropriate assessment methods and an already completed Diploma of Accounting (or higher), meets the requirements for approval by the TPB to register as a tax agent.

Course Description:

The Tax Agent Certification includes the skills and knowledge required to meet the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) educational eligibility requirements, for both Commercial Law and Australian Tax Law.

  • FNSSS00005 - The units in this skill-set cover: applying legal principles in consumer and contract law, corporations and trust law, and property law.
  • FNSSS00008 - The units in this skill-set cover: preparing tax documentation for individuals and preparing and administering tax documentation for legal entities.

Course Duration

This course is designed as an additional option for those accountants who wish to work as registered tax agents. A registered tax agent is licensed to prepare and lodge tax return on behalf of individuals or small/medium businesses to ensure tax obligations are met and returns are as large as possible!
