Building on previous skills and experience the Advanced Diploma of Accounting is ideally suited to individuals currently working in bookkeeping or accounting roles who want to enhance their existing knowledge through completion of a formal, nationally recognised qualification. The course is also beneficial for students seeking to upgrade prior accounting qualifications and/or those with qualifications from overseas.

The aim of the course is to extend each student's accounting skillset so that they may transition into higher education or be gainfully employed in an accounting role.

The Advanced Diploma of Accounting is recognised by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).

Entry Requirements

Completion of both FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set and FNSSS00015 Advanced Accounting Principles Skill Set; OR completion of FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting; OR completion of FNS50215 Diploma of Accounting.

Course Duration

The course is designed to be completed within 12- 18 months (1760 hours of study).

Assessments

Assessments for the Advanced Diploma of Accounting will take a variety of forms and may include case studies, multiple-choice and short answer questions, calculation and accounting software simulation tests plus role plays.
