This course has been developed specifically with business administration in mind.
The sample employee would be a person working as a personal assistant, receptionist, office worker, or middle management in small or medium enterprises.
For example marketing, sales, management leadership, administration, conflict resolution, banking etc. In addition it may be beneficial to a larger business staff member who needs to franchise off a business, develop personal skills from an experience base as opposed to an institutional learning base, or for someone who wants to develop business concepts within a small or larger organisation. The electives and streams are numerous and allow for a great scope for learning and development.
There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.
After achieving the BSB40515 Certificate IV in Business Administration, candidates may undertake a range of Diploma level qualifications within the BSB Business Services Training Package, or other Training Packages.
BSB Business Services Training Package qualifications allow for the inclusion of units from outside the specified field or domain in the BSB Business Services Training Package, and from other endorsed Training Packages.
The rules of the BSB Business Services Training Package allow, on occasions, for Business Services qualifications to include units from a higher or lower qualification. The qualification rules will provide specific advice wherever this rule is applicable. The general rule is that other elective units of competency may be chosen from a qualification level directly below or above the qualification being undertaken. For example, in a Certificate IV from the BSB Business Services Training Package, the packaging rules may allow for one unit to be included from a Certificate III or a Diploma.
The purpose of this is to allow a choice that will most accurately deliver the requirements of a business, or groups of businesses, or will maximise the employability of an individual or group.
Total number of units = 10
5 administration units plus 5 elective units
This course is a pathway for employees in the industry, and/or for further study for new employees or current employees wishing to upgrade into an advanced qualification.
